In terms of looks, the 2020 Creta stands out in its own line-up over the years but it also happens to be the one of the most desirable SUVs in the Indian market. The 2nd gen Hyundai Creta starts at Rs 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom) and goes up to Rs 17.2 lakh (ex-showroom).
The 2nd gen Hyundai Creta makes a very strong first impression compared to its predecessor. The 2nd gen Hyundai Creta boasts an elevated hood with character lines that make it look a bit muscular unlike the 1st gen Creta’s flattened out and slightly longer hood.
The 2nd gen Hyundai Creta sports a very sharp DRL with the LED headlamps moved down a bit giving the SUV a fresh and sharper look. The new DRL and the C-shaped headlamps looks much better than the 1st gen Creta’s exaggerated LED package. On the rear, the new Creta boasts a bigger taillamp package with a LED strip placed right between both the taillamps adding to the sharp fresh looks. The 1st gen Creta’s taillamps look very bland compared to its successor.
The 2nd gen Hyundai Creta boasts an eye-catching chrome grille which is bigger and much more stylish than its predecessors. The new badging on the front and the back, the bold wheel arches and the silver roof rails and the skid plates give the new gen Hyundai Creta a very distinctive and bold identity. The previous generation Hyundai Creta did not feature these trendy elements.
Inside the cabin, the panoramic sunroof and massive 10.25-inch infotainment system give the 2nd gen Hyundai Creta a very plush and elite look. The dual-tone piano black and white interiors add a very premium look to the SUV. The new steering wheel, new ac vents and the new instrument cluster are the icing on the cake.
In terms of performance, the 2nd gen Hyundai Creta takes over its predecessor with the powerful 1.4-litre turbo petrol engine. The new Creta is also available with 1.5-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engine options. The previous generation Creta offered 2 diesel engine options and one petrol option. The new gen Creta offers 2 petrol variants and a single diesel-powered option.
