New chief for IAF’s western command

NEW DELHI: Amid the ongoing military confrontation with China, there has been a change of guard at the critical Western Air Command (WAC), which stretches from Bikaner to Ladakh.
Air Marshal V R Chaudhari will take over as the new WAC chief on Saturday. The WAC is the most important of the Indian Air Force’s five operational commands, controlling important airbases on the fronts with China and Pakistan.
