There are many festivals in August and August is the most festive month after Holi. Festivals and national holidays also resume in August. In such a situation, there are a lot of holidays in August and banks will also be closed on those days.


Banks will remain closed for a total of 16 days in August, which also includes the second and fourth Saturday Sundays. To settle the workings of banks, note these dates beforehand.


The month of August starts on Saturday. This day is the holiday of Bakrid (Eid al-Adha 2020). Onam festival falling on 31 August will be a holiday in some states.
