Due to the efforts of the Tribal Cooperative Marketing Development Association of India (TRIFED), the people of the tribe who were selling their traditional art and forest produce at a small price, are now owning and selling online.

Through this, they are achieving the highest value of their product. Not only this, but these people living in small areas ranging from Odisha to Nagaland and Chhattisgarh to Himachal Pradesh have also now become traders rather than laborers.

TRIFED has 14 regional offices, more than 100 retail stores, and 28 states playing a key role. This has been made possible by mentioning the bamboo bottle and eating tiffin while giving the slogan of Vocal for Local in Prime Minister Modi's Mann Ki Baat program.

After this, the Tribal Ministry developed the online marketing platform in record time and made the tribal people laborers. Under the online market, under the e-Market Plus scheme, five lakh tribals have been brought to the digital platform.

With this, he will be able to sell his products in a group not only in the country but also abroad. Currently, 50 million of their materials have been inserted in the portal link. Where it is available for sale. According to the tribal ministry, at present, goods worth about one hundred crore rupees are in the warehouse, which will soon be linked to this portal. Not only this, but all TRIFED showrooms across the country will also be linked to it. This will enable about 5 lakh people to connect directly with this marketing platform online.

The online marketing portal currently has the maximum number of goods to be purchased in 28 states of the country at the support price of 15,000 SHGs. This is because the ministry had increased the minimum support price during the process from lockdown to unlock to strengthen forest produce and their economic conditions in a phased manner. This led to a 191 percent increase in sales of goods. Not only this, to protect those people from middlemen, but the Ministry has also set up marketing centers everywhere under a transparent system.

The government made a purchase of 1.5 thousand crores from these centers in about 12 weeks. Apart from this, two thousand crores were also purchased at the private level. The result of this is that till now, three and a half thousand crores rupees have reached the tribal economy.
