O Rajagopal to fast on Saturday seeking Kerala CM’s resignation

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The BJP legislator in the state Assembly, O Rajagopal, will observe a day-long fast on Saturday seeking the resignation of chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan.
The fast is part of the agitation launched by the party in the wake of the alleged involvement of the CM’s office in the gold smuggling case.
Rajagopal will observe the fast at the BJP state headquarters in Thiruvananthapuram. The fast will be inaugurated by BJP national secretary Bhupendra Yadav MP through video conferencing at 10 am.
A virtual rally has been organized by district party unit at 4 pm as part of the conclusion of the fast. The rally will be inaugurated by former party state president Kummanam Rajashekaran.
Minister of state for external affairs V Muraleedharan will fast at his residence in New Delhi on August 2. P Muraleedhara Rao, BJP nation secretary will inaugurate the fast at 10 am. A virtual rally organised by the Kollam party unit will be held at 4 pm on the same day.
