Rajya Sabha Member of Parliament (MP), and former leader of the Samajwadi Party Amar Singh dies on August 1. He was 64.

Singh was admitted to a hospital for seven months. He was seeking treatment at Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore.

Amar Singh earlier underwent a kidney transplant. He had suffered kidney failure in 2013, News 18 reported.
