In a warm gesture, a group of students helped a 52-year-old teacher from Telangana to earn a livelihood after they learnt that he lost his job during the coronavirus pandemic.

Raghu was a teacher at a private school, Rudrangi ZP High School in Jagtial district's Korutula. After losing his job, he was going through a tough time as he eve has a son, a B.Ed graduate, who too have been unemployed due to the pandemic situation.

However, students of Staff Selection Commission 1997-98 batch came to his rescue after they got together on WhatsApp and decided to help him.

He had taught English and Biology as a guest teacher, which his students did not forget.

Speaking to TNIE, Raghu said "I have no words to express my gratitude to my students who came to my rescue."

The centre is almost ready and Raghu will start his business from Sunday. Just not that, his students have also promised to bring in more customers to the tiffin centre to help him flourish his business.
