The Realme 6i is also the smartphone that comes in a true black colourway, unlike the company's previous offerings in the mobile phone segment. If you have been wanting a good Android smartphone with features that most of your friends will not have on theirs, Realme 6i is worth looking at. I am going to break down my review of Realme 6i into five points, so it is easier for you to decide if the Realme 6i is worth your money. But before I do that, let us quickly run through the price and sale details of the Realme 6i:

The Realme 6i has two memory variants - the one with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage costs Rs 12,999 while the other one with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of memory is priced at Rs 14,999.

Five Key Points About Realme 6i
In my review, I found the Realme 6i to be quite a performer in its price range. More than its processor, it is the 90Hz display that can attract most customers because it is way smoother than the displays found on other smartphones priced under Rs 13,000. So what are the five things I liked in the Realme 6i?
First, the Realme 6i display is quite tall and vibrant. It produces a good gamut of punchy colours, which means you will not have any problem looking at various media contents on it, including movies, shows. You will also not face any issues when playing games, because the display has a 90Hz refresh rate. Essentially, it means everything on the display, from interactivity to scrolling, gets a lot smoother than the 60Hz displays. In fact, Realme 6i could be the cheapest smartphone in India with a 90Hz display.
Second, the Realme 6i has a MediaTek Helio G90T processor, which I last used on the Realme 6. Since I had tested the processor already on Realme 6, I was expecting a similar performance on the Realme 6i. The processor is good at handling everyday tasks, such as opening WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, keeping them in the background even when at least five more apps have been opened. Apart from that, the processor allows decent gaming on it. You can definitely play PUBG Mobile, Call of Duty, and Freefire on the Realme 6i but keep in mind to tone down the graphics settings a bit.
This is what I wrote about the Helio G90T processor in my review:
Realme 6i begins to heat after playing games on it for more than 25 minutes. It gets uncomfortably warm and needs to be put aside for some time to cool down. This is only the case when I played heavy games on it. But if you are someone who does not play such games, you do not have to worry about this bottleneck on Realme 6i performance.
Third, Realme 6i has a 48-megapixel main camera which I found pretty good. It can capture decent shots and produce natural colours in photographs clicked in daylight. The photographs come out well-detailed and are appealing usually. The night photography is a bit mixed on this one. Sometimes the shots turn out satisfactory but mostly the camera struggles to autofocus and retain details in low-light shots. There is the Super Nightscape mode on the Realme 6i that does help a bit to get rid of the noise in dim-light environments. The selfies on the Realme 6i are also quite decent, except they are a little aggressive on the blurred parts of the photo.
Fourth, Realme 6i has great battery life. It packs a 4300mAh battery and comes with 30W charging but the charger you get only supports 20W. Here is what I wrote about the battery life in my review:
Realme phones have never disappointed me and the 6i is no different. It has a 4300mAh battery that lasts for an entire day on medium usage. I managed to get the battery topped-up in under one hour and 15 minutes from the bundled charger.
Fifth and the final reason that I am giving you to buy Realme 6i is that its design is so subtle. Realme smartphones have a track record of being one of the most beautiful smartphones across various price categories and Realme 6i is another product to that testimony - something I wrote in my review:
Overall, I am pleased by the minimalistic design the Realme 6i has for its price.
