Elon Musk Opens up about 'Rumours' on Being 'Lovers' with Bill Gates, Netizens Baffled

SpaceX CEO Elon Musk can turn out to be really mean at times, and all he leaves for netizens is the opportunity to create more memes and jokes. A few days after the ‘cage fight’ controversy with Johnny Depp, Musk has again landed himself in yet another controversy by picking up the topic of his bond with Bill Gates.

Recently, entrepreneur Gates suggested that Musk should not mix his expertise on technology with that of health. The statement came after Musk called the coronavirus pandemic "dumb" in March.

Talking to the CNBC about Musk’s comments, Gates said, “Elon’s positioning is to maintain a high level of outrageous comments. He’s not much involved in vaccines. He makes a great electric car. So he’s allowed to say these things. I hope that he doesn’t confuse areas he’s not involved in too much.”

Soon after, Musk took to Twitter to announce that he and Gates are not "lovers".

"The rumor that Bill Gates & I are lovers is completely untrue," he tweeted on Thursday.

The tweet brought upon some fun time for the Twitterati, who always look forward to a chance. Giving all the attention to Musk, netizens commented on Musk’s image as a lover.

Someone even ignored his statement, saying, "I don’t know man, look at the way he gazes into your eyes."

The banter between Musk and Gates is not the first one. When Gates chose a Porsche over Tesla, Musk was quick to point out his choice.
