Trent Alexander-Arnold has seemingly turned Borussia Dortmund star Jadon Sancho back towards a potential Liverpool transfer.

Sancho has been destined to sign for Manchester United, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's men ready to pay up to £100million for the youngster.

United boosted their hopes of landing Sancho when they secured Champions League football on the final day of the campaign.

But a report from Germany claims Sancho is not that keen on heading to Old Trafford, adding that he would much sooner turn out in the red of Liverpool.

According to Kicker, via the Daily Mirror, Sancho believes he has a much better chance of winning silverware at Liverpool.

Jurgen Klopp's men are the current Premier League and Champions League holders, while United are in transition. The current speculation has seemingly come out of the blue, but the signs were there back in May.

Reds defender Alexander-Arnold took part in an Instagram Live a couple of months ago, where he spoke to actor Michael Dapaah.

The Dortmund attacker was watching the video and heard the Liverpool right-back say: "If [Sancho] he came to us, he'd make our team better.

"So I'd be more than happy for him to come. I played with him for England and he's a special, special, special, special talent."

Responding to Alexander-Arnold's comment, Sancho posted four sideways eyes emojis. That was to make sure the Liverpool star knew he heard what he said.
