Preparations are also on to ensure non-stop recitation of Ram Charitra Manas at 25 different locations on the 4.5 km route.
Even as Ayodhya readies itself for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's August 5 visit to the city to attend the 'bhoomi pujan' for the Ram temple, the prime minister may also launch postal stamps on a symbolic model of the temple and the Ramayana while there, The Indian Express reported.
"If things go as planned, then postal stamps will also be launched on August 5. One of these stamps is likely to be on a symbolic model of Ram Temple and another on scenes depicting the significance of Ram in other countries," YP Singh, the Director of Ayodhya Research Institute, told the newspaper.
However, coming as it does amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has appealed to 'Ram bhakts' to "not be anxious to reach Ayodhya on August 5."
Singh said that in order to depict the cultural presence of Ram "across the world", the Ayodhya Research Institute is preparing big posters and cut-outs of symbols of Ram Lila from different countries. These would be put up on the route to the Ram temple site, he said.
Apart from that, Singh told the newspaper that preparations are on to ensure non-stop recitation of Ram Charitra Manas at 25 different locations on the 4.5 km route from Saket Degree College, where the PM's chopper will land, to the Ram temple site.
However, even as the preparations are on for a grand scale 'bhumi poojan' at Ayodhya, the trust has appealed to people to watch the live telecast of the event on television and light lamps at their homes to mark the occasion instead of rushing to the site considering the pandemic situation.
Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh police and Sashastra Seema Bal have been put on high alert in the districts bordering Nepal ahead of the prime minister's visit to Ayodhya, Independence Day and the coming festival season, a senior official said.
