Former President Barack Obama will give the eulogy at US Rep. John Lewis' funeral. The funeral will take place on Thursday, according to reports at CNN. Former Presidents Bill Clinton and George W. Bush will attend the service. Current President Donald Trump said Monday that he wouldn't pay his respects to Lewis. Trump has refused to honor Lewis while he lay in state at the US Capitol or participate in his service.

Trump Admin To Review DACA, Reject New Applications

The Trump administration will not accept new applications for one Obama-era program. The program shields deportation for certain undocumented immigrants, reports CNN. It applies mostly to those who came to the US as children and limits renewals to one year. This comes more than a month after the Supreme Court blocked Trump's attempt to end DACA. DACA, or the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, has been a hot topic for months.

Trump Replaces Portraits Of Clinton And George W. Bush

The official portraits of former Presidents Bill Clinton and George W. Bush have been moved. Both portraits were removed from the Grand Foyer of the White House within the last week. They were replaced by those of two Republican presidents who served more than a century ago. White House tradition calls for portraits of the most recent American presidents to be featured. Meaning they are given the most prominent placement to be visible to guests during official events.

Young Atlanta Woman Kills Baby Daughter By Ramming Car

Newser reports 21-year-old Atlanta woman Titayanna Phillips has been charged with felony murder and aggravated assault after allegedly ramming a vehicle. Phillips allegedly rammed a vehicle carrying her 3-month-old daughter and the child's father. The daughter was killed. Police say Phillips deliberately drove into the vehicle after the child's father placed the baby inside and started driving away.

KFC To Sell 'Beyond Fried Chicken'

On Thursday, KFC announced it would sell Beyond Fried Chicken at over 50 restaurants in Southern California. The plant-based chicken will be available starting July 20 in a six-piece pack, 12-piece pack, or combo meal, while supplies last. KFC's announcement comes after successful tests of Beyond Fried Chicken in Atlanta, Nashville, and Charlotte. A list of restaurants serving Beyond Fried Chicken can find be found on KFC's website.

Civil Rights Icon John Lewis Dead At 80

John Robert Lewis has died after a six-month battle with cancer, according to a statement from House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. Lewis is the son of sharecroppers. He survived a brutal beating by police during a landmark 1965 march in Selma, Alabama. He became a figure of the civil rights movement and a longtime US congressman. Lewis was a follower and colleague of Martin Luther King Jr. He participated in lunch counter sit-ins, joined the Freedom Riders in challenging segregated buses.
