BSP chief Mayawati on Thursday demanded a CBI inquiry into actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s death. She also targeted Congress leaders, doubting their intention to get justice for the actor’s family.
“Every day new facts are coming in the case of the death of Bihar-origin Bollywood actor Sushant Singh, and now lodging of FIR by his father with Patna Police has made the case more intense. Rather than Maharashtra or Bihar Police, it will be better if the CBI investigates the case now,” she tweeted.
Questioning the attitude of Congress leaders in Maharashtra and Bihar, Mayawati said, “In the Sushant Rajput case, it appears that with the different stance taken by Congress leaders in Maharashtra and Bihar, their intention is to fulfil their personal political purpose. Getting justice for the affected family is secondary for them. This is not appropriate. Maharashtra government should be serious.”
