This actress shared her flawless skin secret

A beautiful and flawless skin is every girl’s dream. We tend to spend a lot of money on buying cosmetics and skin care products but we usually don’t really care about our diet and eating habits. Having a beautiful skin doesn't only require applying various artificial products, but you can achieve perfect skin by feeding your body with a skin-friendly diet. Healthy food items can do wonders for your skin. A diet full of nutrition is always promising for a clear and glowing skin inside out, and that’s what Bollywood actress and nutritionist Pavleen Gujral believes in. The beauty spoke to us about her diet responsible for her radiant skin and this is what she had to say!
For clean and clear skin, It’s always important to also focus on your food intake. I personally like to eat a lot of fruits, especially in this summer heat, that keeps my skin hydrated.

Drinking at least 2 litres of water is a must, so I keep a bottle with me at all times, I even carry it with me around the house. I also include buttermilk, coconut water, and fruit and vegetable juices in my daily diet
Fried foods and sweets are not a very big part of my diet. So, that also helps in keeping my skin looking fresh. Like they say, you are what you eat, so for good skin, I eat good (healthy) food, grains, veggies, nuts, and fruits.

A detox smoothie is a great way to start the day for a clear skin: Coconut water, cucumber, apple and beetroot make for a great combo. You could also make a milk-based smoothie with almond or soy milk with banana and flax-seed. These smoothies are my personal favourites.

Eating fruits and vegetables with rainbow colours is good for the skin for instance carrots, beetroot, papaya, spinach, oranges, and avocados.

I always rely on green leafy vegetables. They are fully loaded with antioxidants, essential vitamins, and nutrients that can create magic on your skin. Spinach, methi leaves, radish leaves, lettuce, coriander, parsley, broccoli, etc pull out all the dullness from your skin and enhance its glow.

Sunflower seeds can also be a good option as they are packed with vitamin E. It helps in slowing down the ageing process and keep the skin young and supple.
