The new national education policy will reduce the stress of parents and children on board exams. The board exam will be based on an annual, semester, or modular model. There will also be examinations in classes three, five, and eighth. For board exams to be held in 10th and 12th it will be ensured that there are no more than 24 subjects.

Once-failing or not performing well, the student will get a chance two or more times. NCERT will prepare the National Curriculum Framework 2020 by next year. Till now schooling is running under the National Curriculum Framework 2005. The 2022 examination will be from the new syllabus.

To promote knowledge and employment-based education, the Board's preparation will run from 9th to 12th grade. Students will have the option to choose the ninth subject. In this, they will be able to choose science, mathematics as well as fashion designing subjects.

At the same time, for the 2021 session, the State Education Boards including CBSE will prepare a viable model for the tenth and 12th standard examinations. School Education Secretary Anita Karwal said that there are many suggestions regarding changes in board exams. This includes taking the exam twice a year, dividing it into two objective and explanatory categories.

No language will be imposed

If the fifth and the state wishes, the medium of instruction up to eighth will be a mother tongue, local language, or regional language. Will be able to choose as a Sanskrit option at all levels of school and higher education. The tri-language formula will also have this option. No language will be imposed on any student.

Other languages ​​and literature of the country will also be available as an option. Foreign languages ​​can also be selected as an option at the secondary education level. The Indian Sign Language, ie Sign Language (ISL), will be standardized across the country.

Emphasis on basic competency of students

Children will not have to read thick books. In the new policy, the basic principle of every subject will be explained to children in easy ways. In this case, the emphasis will be on experimental examination instead of the written test. The focus and concept of studies will be on Idea, Applications, Practical, Problem Salving. The government believes that from two to eight years the child learns the most.

Therefore, the emphasis should be on learning at this age. A National Mission on Basic Literacy and Numerical Knowledge will be established, considering basic literacy and numeracy knowledge as essential for learning properly.

NCERT will develop the National Curriculum and Educational Framework for Early Childhood Care and Education (NCPFECCE) for children up to the age of eight. Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) will be provided through a comprehensive and robust institution system. It will also include Anganwadi and pre-school with trained teachers and Anganwadi workers in the sameCE education and curriculum.

Students will evaluate, give a progress report

Progress report card scheme will be started to increase student interaction with schooling. In this, students will evaluate each other on activities other than studies. Based on this progress report will be made. The progress card will be a multidimensional one. In this, the specificity of each student will be known in detail and cognitive information will also be found. It will assess student behavior, interaction, help, teamwork, etc.

Financial aid for students

Qualification of students belonging to SC, ST, OBC, and other categories will be encouraged. The National Scholarship Portal will be expanded to encourage students to get scholarships and monitor their progress.

Private higher educational institutions will be encouraged to offer a large number of free education and scholarships to students. Kasturba Gandhi Schools will be expanded to the 12th standard. Whose only child is a daughter and special schemes will be made to promote daughters in education.
