Gujarat: Surat city reports 217 fresh Covid-19 cases; six more die

SURAT: The city on Thursday reported 217 fresh Covid-19 cases and six deaths, taking the coronavirus tally to 10,757 and toll to 482 with six more fatalities.
"Out of the 217 fresh Covid-19 cases on Thursday, Rander zone and Varachha (A) zone have reported highest number of patients with each zone reporting 39 cases, followed by 31 in Athwa zone, 28 in Katargam, 23 in Limbayat and 21 in Udhna. Central and Varachha (B) zone reported 18 cases each. Out of the eight civic zones, seven zones have reported over 1,000 Covid-19 cases as on Thursday,'' said a Suram Municipal Corporation official.
Meanwhile, 194 Covid-19 patients were discharged after they were declared cured. Till now, 7,387 patients have recovered from the coronavirus infection in the city.
