New South Wales records 18 new coronavirus cases as a popular pizza restaurant is shut down and clusters continue to grow

New South Wales confirmed another 18 coronavirus cases on Thursday as fears of a growing outbreak continue to rise.
Clusters appear to be spreading throughout Sydney in particular, as venues from Bondi to the inner west close their doors in the wake of the crisis.
Of the 18 latest cases, four are associated with the Thai Rock Wetherill Park cluster while another four are linked to The Apollo restaurant in Potts Point.
Two are linked to the funeral cluster in Sydney's south-west, another two are returned travellers in hotel quarantine while six are under investigation.
NSW Health urges anyone who lives in or have visited hotspot areas in the past two weeks to get tested if they start displaying the mildest of COVID-19 symptoms.
They include Potts Point, Carnes Hill shops, Prestons, Bonnyrigg, Wetherill Park, Mt Pritchard, Bankstown City Plaza, Cabramatta and popular ski resort Perisher in southern NSW.

Around 27,147 tests were conducted across the state on Wednesday, up from 18,000 on Tuesday.
There are 100 patients in hospital with the virus.

'We are choosing to close the restaurant until next Tuesday the 4th of August, in order for our restaurant to be professionally deep cleaned,' the owner said in a statement.
Anyone who dined at the restaurant on July 26 from 6pm to 8pm are urged to monitor for symptoms and immediately self-isolate and seek testing.

The popular ski resort of Perisher has also been rocked by coronavirus fears after initial samples collected at the local sewage treatment plant last week returned a positive result for the presence of COVID-19.
'Further sampling and analysis is required to assess the significance of this initial positive result,' a NSW Health statement read.
'The positive sewage result can be due to shedding of the virus by someone who may have previously had the illness, with the virus ‘shedding’ through their system for up to four weeks later,'
'While no cases of COVID-19 have been identified in Perisher or Thredbo to date, it’s important that anyone who was in this area get tested if they have even the mildest of symptoms.'

Contract tracing and cleaning is underway at western Sydney's Parklea Correctional Centre after an inmate tested positive.
Anyone who attended Mount Pritchard club Mounties between 6pm Wednesday July 22 and 3am Saturday July 25 must get tested and self-isolate for 14 days, even if the test comes back negative.
Mary Immaculate Catholic Primary in Bossley Park in the city's south-west will be shut until at least August 10 after a student tested positive.
Freeman Catholic College in nearby Bonnyrigg will also remain closed after a student returned a positive result.
Everlearn Childcare Centre in Prestons is closed for cleaning after a child attended the facility while they may have been infectious. Their results are still pending.
Fort Street High School in Sydney's inner west is also shut to undergo deep cleaning today after a student required COVID-19 testing.
The student's results will be confirmed later on Wednesday.

Bondi's iconic Surf Bathers Life Saving Club will also close after four members dined at The Apollo restaurant in Potts Point after a coronavirus carrier visited the eatery.
Surf club president Brent Jackson told The Australian three of the four members had already tested negative to the virus.
Results for the fourth member are due soon, but the club has been shut to members in the interim.
'We did not want to jeopardise the ability of Emergency Callout crews to use the club and thus we have cleaned and will not reopen to general members until the last members results are known,' Mr Jackson said.
