DMK protests drinking water shortage

Coimbatore: DMK members led by Singanallur MLA N Karthik on Wednesday staged protests in the city, seeking regular supply of drinking water.
Drinking water is supplied only once in 10 days, the protesters, who were carrying black flags and plastic pots, said.
Karthik blamed the local administration department for the crisis. “In 2018, the right to supply drinking water was given to Suez India Private Limited. But till now, no infrastructure has been developed to supply water round-the-clock,” he said.TNN
