Goa's covid death count rises to 43 with four more deaths

PANAJI: Goa’s count of Covid-19 deaths rose to 43 on Thursday after four men with comorbid conditions succumbed to the virus. In the last 48-hour, seven persons have died due to coronavirus.
An 80-year-old man from Porvorim who was undergoing treatment at ESI Covid hospital died late Wednesday evening. Two men – a 71-year-old from Margao and 61-year-old from Mapusa - who were under treatment in Covid-ESI hospital died on Thursday. The fourth death was that of a 50-year-old man from Sada Vasco.
Goa reported 215 new cases and 221 recoveries on Thursday while the state’s tally of active cases dropped to 1,657. The department of information and publicity notified that it will remain shut for 48 hours after one of their officers tested positive.
