Government took comprehensive steps on Covid, results encouraging: Speaker

NEW DELHI: The government has taken comprehensive steps to reduce the impact of the pandemic and the results have been encouraging, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla said on Tuesday.
Speaking on the occasion of World Hepatitis Day at the event ‘Empathy Conclave 2020’, organised by the Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences and Airports Authority of India, in Parliament House, Birla asserted that “the path to victory can be difficult but never impossible”. He underlined the importance of spreading awareness about liver disease. He said hepatitis is a serious challenge that can be overcome with collective effort and resolve.
