CHENNAI: Tamil Nadu governor Banwarilal Purohit has isolated himself after three more staff members of Raj Bhavan tested positive for Covid-19.
The governor would be in seven days self-isolation as advised by his doctor, a Raj Bhavan release said.
“Yesterday (Tuesday), Raj Bhavan medical officer carried out regular health check-up of the governor and found him fit and healthy,” it said.
Raj Bhavan is closely monitoring the situation.
Last week, 84 people on Raj Bhavan campus, including security and fire service personnel, tested positive for coronavirus infection.
As a precautionary measure, 38 staff members were tested for Covid-19. Three of them were found to be positive. The three staff members were shifted to hospital.
