JAIPUR: On the occasion of International Tiger Day , photographs of Ranthambore Tiger Reserve (RTR) tigers , T-57 and T-58 engaging in a territorial fight has gone viral on social media. The pictures were clicked last year by a wildlife photographer Harsha Narasimhamurthy.
According to the forest staff, the fight was captured near Kundi area in zone -6. The two wild cats can be seen standing tall and scratching each other.
Mohan Singh, a tiger tracker at RNP says, "Mother of both these tigers is T-26, famously known as Sharmili. The tigress gave a litter of three males. These cubs were tagged as T-56, T-57, and T-58."
These tigers are approximately 9 years old . After the territorial fight , tiger T-57 moved to zone -2 . While , T-58 continue to dominate in his territory, zone -6 .
