Woman’s body found stuffed in suitcase

Ghaziabad: A woman’s body was found stuffed in a suitcase in Arthala near GT Road on Monday. Police suspect it to be a case of murder. The body has been sent for an autopsy and reports are awaited.
A passerby first spotted the suitcase around 8am and alerted the cops. On opening it, cops found a body stuffed inside that looked of a woman recently married.
A senior police officer said the accused had killed the woman somewhere else and stuffed her body inside the suitcase and left her near GT road, one of the busiest roads in Ghaziabad.
Mohammad Sharif, who spotted the suitcase said, “I saw that three to four dogs and some flies were hovering around the bag. When I tried to see more closely, I found the hairs of a woman and a hand peeking out of the suitcase. I also saw some Henna design on the hand. Then I immediately informed the police and after 10 minutes, cops reached the spot.”
"When police opened the suitcase, I saw that the woman’s hands and legs were tied with a green colour shawl and she wore a yellow colour salwar and kurta," he added.
Manish Kumar Mishra, the SP (city) said we have sent the photo of the woman’s body in neighbouring Delhi, NCR and other cities of UP. "We have to identify the woman first. There are no marks of injury on her body. The cause behind the death will be ascertained once the autopsy report arrives,” he added.
Police are awaiting the autopsy report to arrive to register an FIR in the case. Meanwhile, investigation has started and cops are checking footage from CCTV cameras installed on the borders and in the Sahibabad area.
