Maharashtra: MNS threatens protest over exorbitant electricity bills

MUMBAI: Raj Thackeray-led Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) has threatened to protest against private electricity companies for issuing exorbitant bills to consumers if the state government doesn't look into the matter.
The MNS pointed out that commercial activities had not been carried out due to lockdown since March. The lockdown has drained the economy, salaries are either not being given or employees are facing pay cuts, many have lost their jobs. During such a turbulent situation when there is no ray of hope, these unreasonable bills are a further attack on the vulnerable citizens, stated Raj Thackeray in his letter to his cousin and chief minister Uddhav Thackeray.
