A 13-month-old baby has been rescued from a hot car after accidentally locking himself inside.
Shae Geritz was packing shopping into her vehicle at the Sunshine Plaza, in Maroochydore, QLD, on Tuesday when her son Noah signalled from his car seat that he wanted to play with her keys.
'We were just at Kmart shopping and I was putting everything in the car,' she told the Sunshine Coast Daily.

'He wanted the keys so I just gave him the keys and I was shutting the doors when all of a sudden I heard something click and I realised he had locked the car.'
Ms Geritz immediately rang emergencies services who arrived in the car park five minutes later, at 12.55pm.
The worried mother tapped on the window closest to Noah as firefighters and paramedics worked to break in.
It only took a few minutes before Noah was freed and back in the arms of his mum.

Firefighters and paramedics arrived at the Maroochydore shopping centre (pictured) within five minutes of being called
Ms Geritz said Noah was doing ok after the scare.
'The firefighters just said always make sure you have a spare key,' she said.
Maroochydore, 105km north of Brisbane on the Sunshine Coast, hit a high of 19C on Tuesday.
Cars parked outside on hot days can reach deadly temperatures within a short time.
In February, a three-year-old girl was found dead inside a hot car in Morwell, Victoria.
Weeks earlier, a 14-month-old baby boy was left fighting for life after being pulled from a car in 38C degree heat in Melbourne.
