New Vaddem areas sealed as COVID cases come to light

The housing board colony and some residential area near Shree Rashtoli Jai Santoshi Mata Temple at New-Vaddem have been sealed on Monday after reports of positive cases of COVID-19.

As per available information from talathi of the respective area Hanumant Mandrekar who is working in coordination with his colleague Amresh Naik said, “The housing board colony and some residential area near Shree Rashtroli Jai Santoshi Mata Temple at New-Vaddem is cordoned off and has been sealed after there were reports of positive cases of virus for the last few days.”

He disclosed that out of a total of around 20 positive cases, 7 are active in the housing board colony near Shree Jai Santoshi Mata Temple, while 4 are active cases in the nearby residential area.

“A 1-year-old baby girl has been tested positive for the virus in the residential area near Shree Jai Santoshi Mata Temple. A driver working with KTC and an employee of Mormugao Port Trust are among others who tested positive for the virus in the residential area”, said Mandrekar.
