SIRSA: A medical college would be built in Sirsa on the land opposite the Chaudhary Devi Lal University (CDLU) campus. Haryana deputy chief minister Dushyant Chautala said this in Sirsa on Sunday, adding that the land belonged to the state agriculture and farmers’ welfare department and proposal had been sent to it.
While listening to the public grievances at his residence in Sirsa, Chautala said for a long time there had been a demand for a medical college in the district. “The medical college in Sirsa is one of the three approved by the government,” he added.
The deputy CM said a network of roads was being laid Haryana. Recently, a proposal had been sent to the Centre for a greenfield highway project from Fazilka to Kolkata, which was a part of the East-West Corridor and Amritsar-Kolkata Industrial Corridor plans.
“Two projects are being sent to the Centre. One of these projects is from Dabwali to Agra via Jind and Panipat, and the other is connecting Kundli-Palwal-Manesar (KMP) Expressway via Hisar to Tosham via Mahendragarh-Rewari and Taoru,” Chautala said.
