House fire in Brisbane leaves man with leg burns
A man is being treated for burns to his leg and smoke inhalation after fire tore through a home south of Brisbane.
Emergency services were called to the blaze on Brigantine Place in Sunnybank Hills just before 3pm on Monday to find the upper floor of the two-storey building engulfed.

Eight fire crews arrived at the scene, with the fire brought under control about an hour later, a Queensland Fire and Emergency Services spokeswoman said.
Paramedics treated one patient for burns to their leg and smoke inhalation.
Nine News reported the victim, a 68-year-old man, had been at home with his wife and granddaughter at the time of the blaze.
Firefighters at the scene told reporters the woman had alerted the pair and all three were able to self-evacuate.
Fire investigators will work to determine the cause of the blaze.
