Capt Amarinder Singh JAMMU: Acting on a complaint filed by social activist Sukesh C Khajuria over the death of a child and maiming of another due to spurious drugs in Punjab, chief minister Capt Amarinder Singh has ordered the departments concerned to look into the matter.
The CM’s office also instructed that the investigating team should keep the complainant informed about any action taken.
After receiving the information from the Punjab CM’s Secretariat, Khajuria said, “The secretary to chief minister has forwarded the complaint to the additional chief secretary (ACS) and other health authorities and asked them to look into the matter and inform the complainant about any action taken on the complaint.”
The Jammu-based activist had on Thursday written to Capt Amarinder Singh drawing his attention towards the death of a child and maiming of another due to administration of spurious drugs in Shambhu area of Patiala district and sought stern action against the companies manufacturing and selling spurious drugs.
