I-T dept honours 1903 born Madhya Pradesh woman as oldest tax payer

BHOPAL: Income Tax department on Monday honoured centenarian tax payers - with the oldest one aged 117 years of Beena in Madhya Pradesh. All women, said officers.
This initiative has been taken to mark the 160th I-T day.
Born in 1903, Girija Bai Tiwari, shows her income from interests and pension. “She has set an example for others”, said AK Chouhan, chief Commissionear of Income tax MP&CG.
Others include Ishwaribai Lulla (103) of Indore, Beena Rakshit (100) of Bilaspur and Kanchan Bai (100) of Indore.
