The time capsule will help anyone to get facts in the future who wishes to study the history of the temple, said a Trust member.
A time capsule, enlisting the history and facts related to the Ram Janmabhoomi (birthplace of Lord Ram), will be placed about 2,000 feet below the temple construction site in Ayodhya to avoid any disputes in the future, said the Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust member Kameshwar Chaupal.
The time capsule will help anyone get information in the future who wishes to study the history of the temple, Chaupal told ANI.
According to Chaupal, the “struggle for Ram Janmabhoomi”, including the long-drawn case in the Supreme Court of India, has given a lesson for the current and upcoming generations.
Chaupal further said that the time capsule would be placed below the Ram temple construction site inside a Tamra Patra (copper plate).
He also said that soil from all major places of worship including gurudwaras and Buddhist and Jain temples, as well as water from the sacred rivers, are being brought for 'bhoomi pujan' (ceremony to begin the construction), which is scheduled to be organised on August 5.
“Water from sacred rivers and soil from teerths (pilgrim places), where Lord Ram visited, will be used during the abhisheka in bhoomi pujan, said the Trust member. Volunteers are sending them from across the country to Ayodhya, he added.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to visit Ayodhya for the ceremony to begin the construction of the Ram temple.
Invitations are being extended to several people who have been part of this temple movement including BJP leaders LK Advani, Murali Manohar Joshi and Uma Bharti, said Anil Mishra, another Trust member.
He said that, in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic and restrictions of social distancing, there would be a limited gathering of up to 200 people at the event. The list is yet to be finalised, he added.
Underlining that it would be the “most important” event in the history of independent India, Trust's general secretary Champat Rai said it would be shown live by Doordarshan and other channels.
