The countrymen will not forget the Kargil war. In this war, the Indian Army had won the victory by defeating the nefarious plans of Pakistan. On 26 July 1999, the Indian Army won the war and waved the tricolor. For this reason, 26 July is celebrated as Kargil Vijay Diwas every year. Whenever the Kargil War is mentioned, the name of Rajasthan will definitely be mentioned in it.

In May-July 1999, more than 527 soldiers of the country were martyred in the Kargil war between India and Pakistan. Out of this, 52 jawans of Rajasthan alone were involved. The special thing is that 22 out of 52 jawans of Rajasthan were from Jhunjhunu district only.

According to this, every other brave soldier from Jhunjhunu was one of the brave sons of martyrs in the Kargil war from Rajasthan. In this war between India and Pakistan, most of the Indian soldiers were under 30 years of age. The reason for the war was the capture of the Kashmiri hills of Kashmir in 1999 by Pakistani intruders.
