Richa, the wife of Vikas Dubey, the main accused in the murder of eight policemen including CO in Kanpur's Bikeru village and assaulting eight policemen, has apologized to the victim families, including the chief minister. Richa told that at around two o'clock on the night of July 2, Vikas called and informed that he had a dispute in the village and that he should go out to hide somewhere with the children. His development was greatly encouraged by this. Richa told that in anger she also slammed her mobile.

There was a fear that if the police arrested him then who would look after the elder son. Five days later she was returning home when the police caught her at some distance. The elder son was also with him, but with the shoelace opening, he stopped to tie it. Meanwhile, the police caught him along with the younger son.
