Governor should call Rajasthan assembly session to bring truth to the country: Rahul Gandhi

Amid the political storm in Rajasthan, now the Congress National President Rahul Gandhi has also given a statement. Through social media, he has accused the Bharatiya Janata Party of hatching a conspiracy to topple the Ashok Gehlot government of Rajasthan. He tweeted that the country is ruled by the Constitution and the law.

Governments are formed and run by the majority of the people. The conspiracy to demolish the Rajasthan government is clear. This is an insult to the eight crore people of Rajasthan. The Governor should call a session of the Legislative Assembly so that the truth comes before the country.

Significantly, on Friday, Congress legislators led by Ashok Gehlot staged a sit-in at the Raj Bhavan to demand the assembly session. During this time, Congress MLAs also shouted slogans in Raj Bhavan. Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot wants to conduct a floor test by calling an assembly session from Monday. Governor Kalraj Mishra has clarified that he cannot make an assembly session in Rajasthan on such short notice.
