A road has been shut in both directions following a crash.

Police have closed the B4422 between Bethel and Llangristiolus on Anglesey as a result of the crash this morning.

They said the road would be closed for around four hours and asked drivers to avoid the area.

A spokesman said: "B4422 between Bethel and Llangristiolus on Anglesey is closed following an RTC.

"It is likely to remain closed for the next four hours. Please use alternative routes where safe to do so."

It is not yet clear whether anybody has been hurt.

Police have clarified that the road was closed last night due to the fallen tree.

This morning, there was a collision on the stretch of road, but thankfully nobody has been hurt.

Highways officials are now on the scene clearing the fallen tree.
