Sporting golden couple Ellyse Perry and Matt Toomua split after almost five years of marriage - just months after denying reports they had broken up

Superstar cricketer Ellyse Perry and her Australian Wallabies rugby union star husband Matt Toomua have shocked the sporting world by announcing their separation.
The sporting power couple have confirmed they split earlier this year after almost five years of marriage.
'It's with the greatest of respect for one another that we decided to separate earlier this year,' the pair said in a joint statement on Saturday.
'We felt this was the right course of action and is in the best interests of each other and our current lives. This is something that has evolved and is a mutual decision.'
'Throughout our relationship we have remained private and we ask that our space and privacy continue to be respected during this difficult time for both of us.'

Speculation the private couple had split began were first fuelled in February when Perry attended the Australian Cricket Awards in Melbourne without her wedding ring.
She didn't mention Toomua in her acceptance speech when she won the Belinda Clark award for Australia's best female cricketer for a third consecutive year.
But the couple insisted they were still together and that Perry didn't wear her ring due to a swollen finger.
'While we both currently live with demanding schedules and responsibilities related to the nature of our careers, we are committed to our relationship and refute any claims to the contrary,' the pair said in a statement to the Sydney Morning Herald at the time.
'We have a strong love and respect for one another and any report that our marriage has ended is incorrect.'

They appeared to still be an item in March when they were photographed embracing after Perry's injury heartbreak at the Women's T20 World Cup, which forced her to miss the final.
The last photo of the couple on Perry's Instagram was in May of a sweaty work-out session together.
'When things get too competitive,' she captioned the photo.
She relocated from Sydney to Melbourne to be with her husband last year after he signed with Super Rugby club Melbourne Rebels.
Perry remains in Melbourne amid a stage three lockdown while Toomua is currently based in Sydney with the Rebels.
She is currently sidelined for six months after having surgery on her hamstring in March.

'Throughout our marriage, we have had some very fortunate experiences that have spanned many parts of the globe because of our respective careers,' Perry told the Daily Telegraph on Saturday.
'Some of those we've been able to share and others we haven't.
'A lot of those experiences have been in particularly formative and influential parts of our lives and … the current circumstances of our lives have made our marriage unsustainable.'
Perry and Toomua married in an intimate ceremony held in Sydney in December 2015.
The couple met at Sydney Airport in 2012 and made their first public appearance as a couple was at rugby's 2013 John Eales Medal awards.
The couple announced their engagement less than a year later.
