Kanye West has reaffirmed his presidential ambitions, saying that he will beat Democratic front-runner Joe Biden with write-in votes, and tweeting a clip of Fox News host Tucker Carlson defending his passionate remarks opposing abortion.

West on Saturday tweeted 'I will beat Biden off of write ins #2020VISION' soon after tweeting a photo and video from a visit to the San Francisco office of designer Tina Frey.

He then tweeted, and instantly deleted, a clip from Carlson's show on Monday, in which the pundit defended West after the music superstar delivered a rambling, emotional campaign speech.

In the speech, West claimed his own father had wanted to abort him, and tearfully recounted his emotional decision with wife Kim Kardashian not to abort their first daughter, North.

Soon after the rally, anonymous sources fed the media tips that West's inner circle was concerned for his mental health, and Kardashian herself later posted on Instagram that West has bipolar disorder, something he has previously stated publicly.

It then became accepted wisdom that West's presidential gambit was the product of a bipolar episode, but Carlson reserved judgement.

'Maybe he is,' Carlson said of the notion that West is suffering a bipolar episode. 'But that doesn't mean he's wrong.'

'Here you have a public figure saying that children are the most important thing in life, in the world. There's nothing more important than children -- and he means it,' Carlson said. 'He's totally right, of course, and he's immediately dismissed as a mental patient.'

Carlson's guest, radio host David Webb, concurred, saying 'Kanye has a right to say whatever he wants, whether you agree with it or not.'

'He said a lot of things, by the way, some of them we wouldn't agree with at all,' Carlson said.

West tweeted, and instantly deleted, a clip from Carlson's show on Monday, in which the pundit defended West against mental illness accusations following his pro-life statements

West, in tweeting the clip, added no comment beyond tagging Carlson and Webb in the tweet. The tweet was deleted within a minute of being posted.

It may be viewed by some as West issuing an indirect denial of claims that he is currently suffering a bipolar episode.

Earlier this week, West 's presidential running mate told DailyMail.com the embattled rapper is doing 'great' and insisted his string of Twitter rants are 'nothing to worry about'.

The night before, West blasted out a series of tweets accusing his wife Kim Kardashian of having an affair with rapper Meek Mill and saying he wanted a divorce. He also called his mother-in-law Kris Jenner 'Kris Jong-Un' in a reference to the North Korean dictator.

West suffers from bipolar disorder and is currently thought to be in the throes of an episode of mental illness.

But Tidball, who holds controversial views on mental illness including that it can be cured with chores, insisted to DailyMail.com the 43-year-old is 'fine'.

Tidball said of the rapper: 'He's great. He's really great. There's nothing to worry about. He really is just fine.'

Asked if she intends to continue with her tilt for Vice President, Tidball refused to be drawn on her plans but said she would be releasing a statement soon.

She said: 'I can't comment on that [the run for office] right now. I'm going to be making a statement very soon.'

Tidball, who has no history of elected office, was revealed as West's running mate earlier this month.

West, who announced his plans to run for president on July 4, has been staying at his 4,000-acre ranch just outside the tiny Wyoming town since Sunday.

Tidball appears to have met West in Cody and shares his pro-life views, which he aired during his rally in South Carolina on Sunday.

West said: 'In the Bible, it says, 'Thou shall not kill.' I remember that my girlfriend called me screaming and crying, and I was just thinking — because at that time I was a rapper I was out there, [had] different girlfriends and everything — and she said, 'I'm pregnant.' And I said, 'Yes!' And then I said, 'Uh oh.'

'She was crying… and for one month and two months and three months, we talked about her not having this child. She had the pills in her hand.'

He then claimed that a vision from God led to them going ahead with the pregnancy. West said: 'I'm in the apartment where my wife was actually robbed, and I have my laptop up and I have all of my creative ideas, I've got my shoes, I've got my next song cover… and the screen went black and white.

'And God said, 'If you f*** with my vision I'm gonna f*** with yours.' And I called my wife and she said, 'We're gonna have this baby,' and I said 'We're gonna have this child.'
