Punjabi University plans online counselling for B.Tech admissions

PATIALA: Due prevailing condition of COVID-19 and uncertainty of JEE MAINS 2020 examination of the administration of Punjabi University, Patiala has decided to conduct online-counselling and online admission process for different courses of the engineering department on the basis of 10+2 marks and merit criteria-based on class 12 concerned subjects.
The authorities revealed that the admission process will be initiated in the engineering departments of Punjabi University, Patiala including Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering having 180 seats; Department of Computer Science and Engineering has 200 seats; Department of Mechanical Engineering with 180 seats and Department of Civil Engineering with 180 seats.
The officials said that courses including ECE (180 seats), ECM (60 seats), CSE (200 seats), ME (180 seats) and CIVIL (180 seats) are mostly AICTE approved courses from well-established, experienced staff based departments.
The Last date to apply online application is 30th of July, 2020. The tentative merit list will be displayed on August 2 this year. After settling objection in merit on 3rd of August, the final allotment and waiting list will be put on August 4. The candidates will be given three days period, i.e. from August 5-7, to deposit the fee. Subsequent, allotment from the waiting list and preference-based branch allocation will also be announced through online mode after completing the first round of counselling and admission. The candidates are advised to be in touch continuously with the university admission related website: www.pupadmissions.ac.in.
The authorities claimed that the applied candidates will also be informed from time to time through SMS.

The university having NAAC A grade, coveted 64th NIRF Rank and 1st EW Punjab State Rank.
