BJP delegation meets Rajasthan Governor over state's COVID situation

A BJP delegation led by party's Rajasthan chief Satish Poonia and Leader of Opposition (LoP) Gulab Chand Kataria met Governor Kalraj Mishra over the COVID-19 situation in the state. After the meeting, Poonia criticised Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot's remark warning eight crore population of Rajasthan will gherao the Raj Bhavan after the Governor didn't call an immediate session of Assembly requested by the Congress government. "The warning that '8 crore people will gherao the Raj Bhavan' given by Chief Minister and Home Minister of the state can invite punishment under Section 124 of the IPC," Poonia told reporters.

After meeting Rajasthan Governor Kalraj Mishra on July 25, state's Leader of Opposition (LOP) Gulab Chand Kataria asked for resignation of CM Ashok Gehlot over latter's warning that eight crore population of Rajasthan will 'gherao' the Raj Bhavan after Governor Kalraj Mishra didn't call an immediate session of Assembly requested by the Congress government. Kataria said, "One can give letter to the Governor but cannot pressurise them for the decision. Chief Minister is the head of the state and he said he'll not be responsible for a breach in law and order situation. If not him, then who'll be responsible? He should tender resignation for using such language." A BJP delegation led by party's Rajasthan chief Satish Poonia and Kataria met Governor Kalraj Mishra over the COVID-19 situation in the state.

'Political and corrupt plot in Rajasthan is before everyone': Patra on CM Gehlot

Bharatiya Janata Party spokesperson Sambit Patra on July 24 lambasted on Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and said that political and corrupt plot is before everyone in Rajasthan. "Manner in which Ashok Gehlot is working in Rajasthan with politicised bureaucracy, corruption and vendetta was exposed by media today. It was exposed that the wife and family of the then SOG head Anil Paliwal has business connections with the family of Ashok Gehlot. Anil Paliwal's wife is the promoter of Fairmont Hotel, where Congress MLAs have been staying and the partner of Vaibhav Gehlot - Ashok Gehlot's son - RK Sharma is associated with this hotel. A political and corrupt plot is before everyone today," said Patra.

Rajasthan crisis: BJP demands CBI probe in 'audio clip' claiming horse trading

BJP national spokesperson Sambit Patra on July 18 placed a series of questions for Rajasthan government regarding 'purported audio clip', where the state government alleged BJP's attempt to topple the government. "State Government should answer whether they indulged in phone tapping as Chief Minister and their other leaders are saying the audio is authentic whereas in FIR it is mentioned as purported. We demand a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into this matter, whether phone tapping was done or SOPs were followed. Whether phone tapping was done or SOPs were followed. Is there an emergency situation in Rajasthan? Are all political parties being targeted this way?" said Patra.

'Manufactured audio clip': BJP on fresh allegations by Congress amid Rajasthan crisis

BJP's national spokesperson Sambit Patra on July 17 said the Congress is levelling "baseless allegations" against the party in Rajasthan through "manufactured audio clip". "BJP rejects all the baseless allegations being levelled against the BJP leaders by Congress in Rajasthan. Actually, Congress is frustrated as it couldn't put its house in order. They want to blame BJP for their failures by using a manufactured audio clip," said Patra after Congress accused BJP for involving in horse trading amid Rajasthan political crisis.

'Low-point' in Rajasthan politics: Rajyavardhan Rathore on Congress protest against Governor

BJP MP Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore criticised Congress government's behaviour outside Governor Kalraj Mishra's House and called it a "low-point" in Rajasthan politics. Rathore said, "What Congress government did at Governor House was a low-point in Rajasthan politics. There is no governance, those in power are lodged at a five-star hotel since weeks. People are suffering due to various issues. And they are saying that they cannot take responsibility of Governor's security, then you can understand the law and order situation in Rajasthan."
