THANE: The Thane civic body has now put the onus of daily health monitoring of residents and visitors on residential complexes here.
Civic chief Dr Vipin Sharma has asked the nearly 5,000-plus societies to check and record oxygen levels and body temperature of residents and visitors. “Societies will have to get pulse oxymeters and thermal guns and keep a log of every person entering the complex daily. Those reporting less than 94 saturation levels will have to be immediately directed to fever clinics or referred to doctors for further analysis,” he said.
In addition, a daily health log of all elderly residents and children below 10 years of age will have to be maintained by the society and reported to the TMC. Thane (36,857) and Pune districts (41,000) now have more active cases than Mumbai (22,598.)
