Ford Mustang ‘Eleanor’ From Gone In 60 Seconds Is A $500,000 Affair

The whole scene of ‘Eleanor’ Ford Mustang Shelby GT500s replicas is extremely overplayed. However, the Eleanor you’re looking at is not a replica but one of the real cars from the 2000 blockbuster Gone in 60 Seconds.

Just 11 identical Eleanor Mustangs were built for the production of the film by Cinema Vehicle Services, Steve Stanford, and Chip Foose. It is claimed that just three of these cars were functional and this looks to be one of them.

The car is up for sale from Al Ain Class Motors, a premier exotic car dealerships. Very few details about the car are provided in the listing, such as what part this Eleanor played in the film starring Nicholas Cage. We have reached out to the dealership to try and learn more.

Listed with an asking price equivalent to $498,551, the car isn’t cheap. However, one of the other Eleanor models from the film was sold at a Mecum auction earlier this year for $852,500, which makes this example a bit of a bargain. A look through the images of it shows that it has the signature of Carroll Shelby on the dashboard, something that the car which sold in January lacked.

If this example has the same powertrain as the other movie cars, then it sports a 351 cubic-inch V8 with an Edelbrock intake and nitrous. The listing claims the car is good for 641 hp and has just 1,000 miles (1,609 km) on the clock.
