Ghaziabad: With the modification in
discharge policy, 399 patients were sent home during the past 24 hours. With this, the city now has 1,015 active
Covid-19 cases.
As per the new rules, if
symptoms do not emerge in mild
asymptomatic patients admitted to a
Covid facility, he or she will be discharged on the 10th day from the date of initial
testing or the seventh day of admission, whichever is later. Such patients will have to remain in
home isolation for eight days.
Patients with mild symptoms will be retested eight days after the first test
If negative, the patient will be discharged after 10 days of the first test, or the tenth day of the symptoms or remaining symptom-free for three consecutive days, whichever is later. They will be asked to remain in home isolation for the next seven days from the date of discharge.
Patients with moderate intensity who have symptoms of lower respiratory tract infection or those who have cough and fever with
breathing problems and nasal flaring will be admitted to L2 or L3 facility. Besides, patients who are unable to maintain oxygen levels will be admitted to L2 or L3 facility.
