Union minister launches 'Bhabhi Ji' papad, says will help drive away coronavirus

Union Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal launched 'Bhabhi Ji' crisps (papad) on Wednesday while claiming that the food item will help drive away the novel coronavirus. A video of the launch that surfaced on Friday has gone viral on social media.


Arjun Ram Meghwal is the minister of state for water resources, river development & Ganga rejuvenation, and of Parliamentary affairs.

In the video, Meghwal who is also a BJP MP from Bikaner, Rajasthan, can be seen holding two packets of 'Bhabhi Ji' papad and saying, "Under the Atmanirbhar India campaign, a papad manufacturer has come up with this product that will help in the formation of antibodies to fight the coronavirus. We congratulate this firm for coming up with this initiative under the Atmanirbhar India campaign."

Soon after the video surfaced on social media, it went viral.

The company which has manufactured the papad is from Bikaner and claims that the product has gilloy and other immunity boosting ingredients.
