Anurag Kashyap and Kangana Ranaut's cause célèbre have been constantly making headlines. Recently a Twitter user tagged Anurag on an old video of Kangana defending his film 'Bombay Velvet' in conversation with deceased actor Irrfan Khan and wrote, 'This is how #KanganaRanaut defended you @anuragkashyap72 after Bombay Velvet's failure. But you were digging her 9-10 year old videos to prove her wrong.' To which Anurag immediately replied, 'Absolutely she did. She always stood by me. I am not her enemy. You all are. The people who are using her are.’ For the unversed Anurag and Kangana were good friends, but when video of him and Taapse Pannu laughing on a joke made on the actress surfaced social media, their friendship went sour.
