Do not let people gather on the occasion of Independence Day: Central Government

On the occasion of Independence Day, because of Coronavirus infection, the Central Government has asked all states not to allow large numbers of people to gather, put on masks and ensure adherence to the social distance law.

The Ministry of Home Affairs has issued a consultation saying that Corona warriors like physicians, health, and sanitation workers should be invited to the Independence Day celebrations keeping in mind their outstanding services in the fight against the epidemic.

It says that people who have defeated the epidemic should also be invited. The consultation stated, "Therefore all the events should be organized in such a way that a large number of people are not gathered and technology is best used for the event". (Agency)
