Navi Mumbai: Four vehicles pile-up on Shirawave bridge

NAVI MUMBAI: Four vehicles piled up on Shirawave bridge along the Sion-Panvel highway on Friday around 11.30am after an SUV applied sudden brakes as a vehicle ahead of him abruptly slowed down. Hence, three vehicles behind the SUV crashed one after the other.
A wagon R car with T-permit which was being used by SBI bank as essential services during lockdown got severely damaged as its bonnet got mangled.
Inspector Kisan Gaikwad of Turbhe traffic unit said, "Only the four vehicles that piled up due to the mishap have got damaged. No one was injured. Due to the pile-up, the traffic movement on the arterial highway disrupted for around 30 minutes, till the towing vehicles arrived and the damaged vehicles were removed from the pathway. A motor vehicle accident will be registered at the local police station".
