Like every year, this year too, Independence Day will be celebrated on August 15 with gaiety and enthusiasm. However, in the wake of the coronavirus epidemic, several restrictions have been imposed in the Independence Day program. The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has issued guidelines in this regard.


While celebrating Independence Day, the Ministry has given instructions to follow the necessary rules, such as social distancing, wearing masks, sanitization, absence of large numbers, etc. All guidelines related to Kovid-19 should be followed by the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

According to the ministry, the national flag will be hoisted by the Prime Minister at 9 am, the national anthem will be played, there will be an Independence Day speech by the Prime Minister and after that, the balloons will be released into the sky.

The rules will be taken care of this time in the At Home program held in the Rashtrapati Bhavan on the afternoon of August 15. This time the theme of Independence Day will be dedicated to the Kovid Warriors. The Ministry of Home Affairs has sent guidelines to all the State Governments and Union Territories on August 15, including how the program can be celebrated at the capital, district, block level.
