Telangana: Covid-19 patient ends life in Mahbubabad

HYDERABAD: A 50-year-old man, who tested positive for Covid-19, ended his life at his native place in Mahbubabad district of Telangana on Wednesday.
The deceased was a native of Madupalli village in Thorrur mandal of Mahbubabad district. He was working at a chemical company in Hyderabad as a labourer.
“On Tuesday night he came to the village from Hyderabad. Only his elder brother, who is mentally unsound, stays in the family house. Upon coming to know about his arrival, village revenue officer (VRO) visited his house and the chemical company worker told him that he tested positive for Covid-19 four days ago and came to native place to finish his quarantine as it was difficult for him in Hyderabad. We have provided him gloves, sanitisers and masks, while assuring that provisions will be given by the Sarpanch,” Thorrur SI Ch Nagesh said.
On Wednesday morning, villagers saw him hanging to a log in the house with a rope and alerted the authorities. “Family members were informed. His brother and his family members in Hyderabad also have to be tested, ”the SI said. A case was registered under section 174 of the CrPC.
