JAMMU: The Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC) on Wednesday refuted a social media post accusing the commission of inviting a non-J&K resident to interview for a gazetted post, terming the allegation as “false and baseless”.
In a statement, the JKPSC clarified that a tweet has been circulated regarding the candidature of one Saima Ali, claiming she is a Rohingya who was invited by the commission to appear in an interview for the post of a gazetted officer in the J&K government. The commission clarified that the ‘facts’ as alleged in the tweet appear to have been circulated with mala fide intention.
JKPSC further stated that the candidate was indeed a J&K resident who had applied for the post in the wrong category, because of which she wasn’t allowed to appear in the interview.
