An attack on two youths is believed to be linked to an earlier confrontation with a man.
Police have launched a witness appeal after two youngsters were attacked by two other children in the Holywell area.
The force believes the violence was linked to an earlier confrontation between two youngsters and a 60-year-old man.
A spokesman for North Wales Police said: "We're investigating an Incident of disorder at around 9.15pm last night in the Tesco’s end of the Greenfield Valley pathway in Holywell.
"A group of youths were involved in an assault on two others.
"Two people were arrested and have been released on bail."
They added: "Enquires lead us to believe the Incident may be connected to an earlier incident where the youths had a confrontation with an older man, described as being approximately 60 years old wearing black trousers and black coat with red on the inside.
"He was accompanied by a Staffordshire Bull Terrier type dog.
